Thanks once more to the generosity of Hardwick residents, on Monday 21stDecember Adam and James from the Vineyard Food Store took away over 10 crates of food, including lots of Christmas goodies and 200 sausage rolls kindly donated by the Bell pub in Hardwick.
The donations were collected over the weekend of 19th & 20th December at John Bridle’s Hall and will help ensure a better Christmas for families supported by the Vineyard organisation in Aylesbury.
The demand on the Food Store has increased during the pandemic and Hardwick residents have been willing to help, coming up trumps for the 3rd time of asking this year.
Earlier this year Hardwick Virtual Open Gardens raised £1485 for the Florence Nightingale Hospice with the Grow a Sunflower for Florence Campaign ; in November £700 was raised for the Royal British Legion. The food store collection concludes a record breaking year of giving in these difficult times. A remarkable record for our small village.
