The Poppy Tribute on the large green in Hardwick has been created because this year there are no services for the public to attend on Remembrance Sunday. Four Hardwick residents are recorded on the war memorials:
Lionel Edward ALLEN
Leonard William HUGHES
Charles Frederick HOPCRAFT
Herbert Owen TODD
We will remember them.

The tribute was designed and installed by Fiona Blacklock with the assistance of Richard Blacklock and Sue Hoskinson.

The tribute and the distribution of poppies to each household on Hardwick has been sponsored by Hardwick Village Community Association and Hardwick Parish Council. Residents have been making donations to the Poppy Appeal and so far more than £550 has been raised.

The photos of the Poppy Tribute were taken by Graham Lee.
Many thanks to all who have helped with this year’s Poppy Appeal in difficult circumstances.
