Hardwick Village Community Association (HVCA)
To all new residents…Welcome to Hardwick!
All residents of Hardwick, aged over 18 are automatically members of HVCA.
HVCA was set up to lease John Bridle’s hall from the trustees of the John Bridle’s Charitable Trust. Their remit is to maintain and manage the hall and to facilitate educational and social events for residents of Hardwick and the surrounding area.
The hall is used daily, in term time, for a preschool and other regular activities, which include Young Farmers, indoor bowls, a choir and whist drives. It is also available to hire.
HVCA arrange an annual programme of fund raising and social events e.g Quiz Nights, Open Gardens, Horticultural Show, Theatre in the Village and a New Year Party at the end of January. The AGM in March elects the committee for the year. All members are invited to the AGM and to stand for election to the committee.
The upkeep of the Hall is mainly provided from rental income. However residents are invited to join the 50/50 club at a cost of £3.00 per month. Half of the income helps with maintenance the other half is distributed in a monthly prize draw.
